Latest Book From No Frills Buffalo Recounts 37 Years in Prison
No Frills Buffalo publishing company has released a new book, “Rising From The Ashes: My life as a killer, a convict who survived over 37 years in 17 prisons, and a man who beat the odds,” by Gerald T. Balone.
Abandoned at birth, Balone spent most of his life in foster homes, orphanages, detention centers and reform schools before going to prison for his involvement in a robbery/burglary in which three people were killed. His story of crime, gangs and prison life is one that should be read by anyone who believes in the power of education, rehabilitation and redemption.
Balone holds a MPS in Urban Ministry from New York Theological Seminary, a MS in Community Administration and Wellness Promotion from California College for Health Science, and several other degrees. Since his release from prison in 2007, he has spoken to audiences at schools, churches, colleges, prisons and businesses. His story of rehabilitation and redemption was shown all over the world on The 700 Club, and numerous articles have been written about the work he has done in helping to prevent young people from making the same horrible choices he made.
Additionally, No Frills Buffalo proudly announces the formation of Amelia Press, a branch of No Frills Buffalo specializing in the publication of children’s books and young adult fiction. For more information, please contact No Frills President Mark Pogodzinski at firstname.lastname@example.org.
