Sorrento Cheese and the Elmwood Village Association Present 'Mass Appeal': A Fashion Phenomenon!

Mass Appeal, an Elmwood Village fashion event is sure to live up to its reputation as the fashion phenomenon of the year.  The show opens with a theatrical presentation showcasing various t-shirt companies in the Elmwood Village.  Mimicked from the famous 1980’s movie The Warriors, this portion of the show focuses on the diverse youth culture of the Elmwood Village – hipsters, undergrounds, punks and college students.

From t-shirts to high fashion, Mass Appeal takes a dramatic turn by focusing on local designers, artists and ready to wear clothing only found in the Elmwood Village.   New this year, an impressive “wearable art” section with couture level creativity!  The show’s producer, Erin Habes, has paired talented artists and designers with local merchants to create high fashion garments by incorporating everyday objects into clothing and accessories.  Ms. Habes fondly refers to this section as “Lady Gaga meets Project Runway.”
