The Friends of Harmony male a cappella chorus is holding an Open House on Tuesday night, October 15th at 7:30 at Sacred Heart School located on 5337 Genesee Street in Bowmansville, NY (about 0.7 mile east of Salvatore's Italian Gardens Restaurant).    The chorus is preparing for their annual Christmas Concert to benefit the Food Bank of Western NY and guests are invited to be a part of it.    Come learn more about the chorus.  You may even get a chance to sing with us at the concert.   The chorus is actively auditioning all voice parts.

The Boutique Bridal Party is a new movement presenting a fresh take on everything bridal in Buffalo, featuring an annual showcase and publication highlighting local wedding options and Western New York's best wedding artisans!

Step back into the decadent golden era of the 1920s with the Boutique Bridal Party for an evening of DIY inspired cocktails. Set inside the beautiful Buffalo History Museum, the Signature Cocktail Soirée will feature an array of cocktails, wines and champagnes to sample as well as fine foods to indulge in catered by Oliver’s.

Buffalo Civil War Roundtable to Host Renowned Author Stephen Davis

 

The Buffalo Civil War Roundtable, Benedict R. Maryniak Chapter, will host Civil War author and expert Stephen Davis at its next meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Gateway Executive Center, 3556 Lakeshore Blvd., Blasdell. Davis, a native of Atlanta, Ga., will discuss his latest book, “What the Yankees Did to Us: Sherman’s Bombardment and Wrecking of Atlanta,” and sign copies for those in attendance.
