A group of student musicians is stringing together an event to bring joy to fellow youths for Christmas.

John Michael and the Kenmore West High School Orchestra will present “A Toy Drive Fundraiser” from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at the American Legion Brounshidle Post 205, 3354 Delaware Ave., Kenmore.

Admission will be a new toy, which will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of the Northtowns. The toys will be distributed to pre-school age children to teenagers, so items ranging from dolls to books to board games are requested. Admission includes coffee, soft drinks and cookies, and a cash bar and pizza will be available.

The event, which is marking its 10th anniversary, also will include a visit from Santa Claus, face-painting by Zippedy the Clown, a basket raffle, a chance to win 50 instant lottery tickets, door prizes and a 50/50 split.

Karin Fryer also will conduct the Ken West Orchestra as it provides music of the season and presents a family show with sing-a-longs.
