A Statement Released by the Western New York Sustainable  Energy Association

Buffalo, NY, On Saturday, October 13, 2012, over 1500 people from across WNY will experience  the Solar & Green Building Tour, an annual event held by the Western New York Sustainable  Energy Association (WNYSEA). 

With over 25 sites open across the region, for one day only, attendees will have an opportunity to learn about solar, geothermal, energy efficiency, net zero,  green roofs, LEED buildings and reuse of historic structures. This event is not a traditional tour, it is  an open house. All sites are open on October 13, 2012 from 10am – 4pm unless noted otherwise. 

The Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market, a Western New York tradition featuring more than 35 vendors selling fresh, seasonal and local products, is open for the 2012 season. Hours at the open-air market are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, rain or shine. 

Providing musical entertainment on Saturday, Aug. 25, will be David Adamczyk from 10 to 11:30 a.m., followed from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. by Adam Giancarlo. Wine-tasting will be courtesy of Schulze Vineyards & Winery and Leonard Oakes Estate Winery.

Eco friendly is becoming a popular term in fashion and brands are using it in reference to many different products and practices. Although the term Eco friendly can be very vague it’s still important to implement any practice large or small that leads to a healthy environment. Eco-Friendly literally means earth-friendly not harmful to the environment and in some cases relates to products that contribute to practices that promote green living.

Today Eco-friendly fashion Brands are creating products that keep both the environment and human safety in mind with the use of recycled/organic ingredients or materials.
