Dogs Are Family Too To Celebrate All Things Dog

As dog owners can attest, dogs are an integral part of the family.  Black Dog, Second Chance will be celebrating the relationship that pet owners have with their dog at the 2nd annual Dogs Are Family Too event.  Dogs Are Family Too will be taking place on Saturday, June 1 from 12 – 5 at the Harlem Road Community Center in Snyder.

Dogs Are Family Too will feature a variety of pet-related vendors and agility demonstrations, along with pet photos by Wild Eye Photos.  In addition, dogs will be available for adoption from various local rescue groups.

Throughout the day, live music will be playing and Chiavetta’s chicken dinners will be available for $12.  Presale tickets can be purchased for chicken dinners for just $10.  Dinners can also be purchased for the Buffalo City Mission which volunteers will deliver right to their door.

Black Dog, Second Chance is a no-kill 501(c)(3) rescue group founded in 2007.  The all volunteer, foster-based organization takes in homeless dogs from area shelters, and also rescues dogs from high kill shelters in the southern United States.  BDSC is a partner in the Maddie’s® Pet Rescue Project in Erie County.

Admission to Dogs Are Family Too is free and leashed dogs are welcome.  Come out and have a great time with your favorite furry friend.  For more information on participating vendors and rescue groups, visit www.BDSCR.org
