Summer Time Family Fun June 12 at Historical Society

Summer Time Family Fun June 12 at Historical Society

Join us at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society for our third 2011 Family Day, sponsored by the Northwest Buffalo Community Center. The Summer Family Day takes place on Sunday, June 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 members/$10 for non-members. Adults are free when accompanied by paying children.

Our Family Days have evolved into wonderful experiences for those of all ages. Taking place in our classic State Court, on our iconic Portico and throughout the varying exhibit spaces in the museum, there is always something to do and see.

Especially compelling right now is our redesigned and refurbished Oishei Pioneer Gallery. A full wall-mural of Buffalo in pioneer times, as well as areas for kids to play and interact are just a few of the highlights.

The Family Day events welcome those of all ages to the museum, to enjoy activities including:

- historic arts and crafts

- museum tours

- artifact scavenger hunts
