The Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market, a Western New York tradition featuring more than 35 vendors selling fresh, seasonal and local products, remains open for the 2012 season. Hours at the open-air market are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, rain or shine. 

Providing musical entertainment on Saturday, Oct. 20, will be Sean Hook from 10 to 11:30 a.m., followed from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. by Casey Bolles. The market also welcomes several community groups this Saturday, including the Canisius Entrepreneurship Organization, a Unyts blood drive, market dietician Nicole Klem, Border Community Service Project, GrowWNY.org, Tutor Doctor and The Senase Project.

Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market Expands its EBT Incentive Program

Food stamp customers now have an extra incentive to use their EBT card at the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market, one that will entitle them to $16 worth of produce and products from participating vendors for just $10.

Since the beginning of the 2012 market season in May, individuals purchasing $10 worth of EBT tokens for use at the market have received an additional $2 incentive coupon courtesy of the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market, the Lexington Co-operative Market and the Erie-Niagara Tobacco-Free Coalition.
