Erie County, NY- Dunkin’ Donuts will be giving a real caffeine jolt to Erie County Clerk’s Office “Thank-A-Vet” Discount Program.  “We at Dunkin’ Donuts love our veterans, and our participation in the Erie County Clerk’s “Thank-A- Vet” Discount Program shows how grateful we are for their service to our country,” stated Timothy E. Cloe, whose firm Northern Star Restaurant Management Inc., has been running Dunkin’ Donut franchises in Erie, Chautauqua and portions of Niagara counties since March 2011.

All Erie County Dunkin’ Donuts locations will be offering 10% discount to Veterans presenting the Erie County Clerk’s Office “Thank-A-Vet” discount card. 

“I am pleased to partner with Dunkin’ Donuts to offer this discount to our veterans,” said Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs. “Veteran’s Day is an opportunity for us to recognize and celebrate our nation’s heroes, and the Thank-A-Vet Discount Program allows us to show our gratitude all year long.”

Winter Market at Horsefeathers Announces First 12 Vendors

The Winter Market at Horsefeathers, opening on Jan. 5 in the 115-year-old Horsefeathers Building located at 346 Connecticut St. on Buffalo’s West Side, has announced a partial list of vendors that will participate in the market. The market will continue through May 4, 2013, before giving way to the outdoor Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers Market 2013 season which will begin on May 11.

Among the local businesses committed to taking part in the Winter Market are Arden Farms, Avenue Boys Smokehouse, Cookie Confections, Dan Tower Farm, Everybotti Biscotti, Fetch Dog Treats, First Light Farm, Green Heron Growers, Martin Cooks Restaurant, The Pasta Peddler, press raw food & juice, and Saltamontes Salsa.

CityMade Purchases to Benefit the American Cancer Society

CityMade, Inc., the Western New York-based company known for its unique gift baskets and boxes, is teaming up with the American Cancer Society to raise funds for the fight against cancer. 

Through the end of December, CityMade will donate 15 percent of every gift basket or product purchased to the American Cancer Society. October was chosen for this announcement in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
